Paradigms

There are way too many Web sites on the Internet. Seriously. And, many of them are horribly designed. And, I'm not talking about color schemes and weird fonts. I'm talking about designing for ease of use.

This section talks about the different functional Web sites, for the different types of organizations and individuals who want to create them. The emphasis is on identifying functional uses of the site, that is, what people actually want to do on the site.

I believe that there are reasonable paradigms for well-designed sites for particular functions, and I'm going to try to explain them to you as well as to give you examples.

The links below will take you to a discussion of how to design well for that particular type of functional site.
